Terms of service

Last updated 4 October 2026
Draft, under review. This page is not yet final.

These terms apply when you use the mezBill app, the web console and this website. By opening an account you agree to them.

The service

mezBill is billing and point-of-sale software for restaurants, cafés and shops: an Android app that works without internet and a web console. We may add, change or remove features; we will not remove a feature of a plan you have paid for during the period you paid for.

Your account

The owner signs in with a mobile number and approves every phone that may bill. You are responsible for what your staff do with the roles and PINs you give them, and for switching off a lost phone.

Trial, plans and payment

A new business gets a free trial for the period shown on the pricing page; no card is needed. After the trial you choose a plan. Each plan has one monthly or yearly price for the business, covers the outlets and phones the pricing page lists, and includes GST. Plans renew for the same period until you cancel.

If a payment is late, billing on your phones keeps working. We remind you, and we may limit the web console and new sign-ins until the plan is paid. We never stop the counter in the middle of service.

Refunds are set out in the Refund policy (https://mezbill.com/refunds/).

Your data

The records you enter are yours. You give us permission to store and process them to run the service. You can export them at any time. Our Privacy policy says how personal data is handled.

Tax and legal compliance

mezBill prepares GST invoices and reports from what you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy of your GSTIN, HSN codes, tax rates and prices, for filing your returns and for following food-safety and other laws that apply to your business.

Machines

Printers and other machines are sold separately and carry the maker's warranty. We list models we have tested; other ESC/POS printers may work but are not guaranteed.

Fair use

Do not use mezBill to break the law, to send messages people have not agreed to receive, to get into data that is not yours, or to disturb the service for others. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability and liability

The app is built to keep billing without internet; sync, the web console and messages need a connection and may at times be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profit or indirect loss.

Ending

You may cancel at any time from the web console or by writing to us. We may end an account that breaks these terms or stays unpaid, after notice. You can export your records for 90 days after cancellation.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. Questions: [email protected].
